honestly the second most dumb thing about the “there’s no really old things in America” crowd is that even you insist on things made by European people you can still just go and see shit that’s half a millenium old with a healthy bit of domestic travel. and if you’ll settle for 400, 300 years it becomes downright common.

Compared to some parts of europe there’s even more preservation of really old shit cuz it wasn’t fucking destroyed by 10 different massive wars in the meantime lol.
